Coastal flood advisory covers Monterey Bay shoreline through 5 p.m. today
The National Weather Service has a coastal flood advisory for Monterey Bay shoreline areas until 5 p.m. today. It says up to 1.1 feet of inundation is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
The advisory says high tides may flood coastal trails, cut off access to some low-lying beaches and bring waves farther up the beach than usual. It advises against driving around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
