In August 2026, Parker Town Council reviewed a proposed public-safety technology package that would add a Drone as First Responder program using Skydio aircraft and Axon automated license-plate readers.

No purchase decision had been made at the study session. Police officials presented the technology as a possible way to improve response times, officer safety and staffing efficiency, so this remains a proposal to watch rather than an adopted deployment.

  • Council review: August 24, 2026

The study session reviewed the proposal without a purchase decision.
