Pine Drive closure between Ponderosa and Lincoln set to start as soon as October 26
Douglas County says Pine Drive will be closed between Ponderosa Drive and Lincoln Avenue starting as soon as Monday, October 26, so crews can install a new storm sewer system. Once the closure is set, it will stay in place for about two weeks, reopening on Sundays, with traffic detoured on Ponderosa Drive, Colorado 83 (Parker Road) and Lincoln Avenue.
A traffic shift on Ponderosa Drive, east of Pine Drive, was expected to begin as early as Monday, October 19, the county says, with more construction activity at the northeast corner of the Ponderosa and Pine intersection as part of this work.
Pine Lane remains one-way, westbound only, between Pine Drive and Dixon Drive while crews build storm drainage on the south side of the road; eastbound drivers are detoured at Colorado 83 to Lincoln Avenue or Ponderosa Drive. Pine Lane is open in each direction between Dixon Drive and Colorado 83. Local and business access continues, including to Sierra Middle School and AdventHealth Parker, and the speed limit through the project is 30 mph.
County project update: October 19, 2026.
